travellers tales

This past year has been quite a travel adventure to many amazing and varied parts of the world. I cant believe just last week I was snorkeling in the Andaman Sea Thailand, canoeing rivers with wild gibbons and less than six months ago we were in the tundra seeing wild bears and caribou in Alaska.Earlier, just 9 months ago I was cruising the rivers of central Europe.... I have many ticks on the bucket to do list filled, what a hectic year.My philosophy now is do it while you can. After having both my knees causing pain and mobilility problems over the last few years, Ive had several operations which have been a good improvement but I realise time is starting to run out.Hence my painting has been on the back back burner but I have continued to teach between travels and my class has also taken advantage of painting time off to travel as well.
My Classes have started again and its wonderful see all my motivated friends and  painters

Noosa Painting Classes

This year has been very very busy, and has meant Painting has had to take a back seat for some tine. After a successful Open Studio event in March, my husband and I traveled throughout central Europe for a few months shortening the bucket list. Travelling can be both fun and exhausting.
After the jetlag subsides I plan to get back to the drawing board very soon. I will be opening my classes up for new members in July.

Todays Palette Knife painting class, Noosa painting Classes

Acrylic Palette Knife painting
Using the palette knife is great way to free up your painting style especially those who have an instinctively orderly mind. The other advantage I particularly love is that cleaning up is so easy, no brushes to clean, how good is that.
This painting is 8x8", most of the class used a larger format and we need to add a few finshing touches. I will upload the completed paintings after next class next week, so please check back to see
